Tiny Paws Rabbit Rescue Tiny Paws is a volunteer run rescue and sanctuary which provides loving forever homes for rabbits Tiny Paws Rabbit Rescue is a Canadian Registered Charity.

We are a Foster Based Rabbit Rescue located in Windsor On, Canada. Our mission is to rescue domestic rabbits who are stray, abandoned, injured, abused, surrendered or otherwise needing care and attention from human assistance until they can be placed in suitable adoptive homes. Those who are deemed unadoptable due to medical needs are given sanctuary status and live out their lives in the rescue.

Our "Rabbit Wrangler" Volunteers are a dedicated group of individuals that assist to help capture stray and abandoned domestic rabbits. A stray rabbit is always in need of rescuing as they do not have the instincts to survive in the wild. We do not have a physical shelter and we rely on foster homes to help us rescue rabbits in need. We believe education is the key in the adoption process. We want our animals to be loved for their entire life throughout any lifetime changes which may occur. All adopters will fill out a questionnaire and go through an interview process to find the best match for our animals. We are always in need of foster homes, volunteers and sponsors to help us continue our mission to help domestic rabbits in need. Registered Canadian Charity

Winx had her blood retested this morning, and I'm very happy to report that everything is normal! 💗 She's eating well on her own, and is back to her happy, energetic, sweet self!

The blind Babies and I were back at our vet clinic this morning, but this time for Winx.

Yesterday Blinx spent the day getting a few tests done. She had her recheck under gas anesthesia to see if her broken tooth was healing up okay. And thankfully it grew back without any concerns. She also had blood work to rule out any issues, and x-rays too. At the time of the x-ray Blinx was actually feeling great, and eating well. I was surprised to see how much gas she had! On the days that she tells me she has an ouchy stomach, it must be even worse 🥺. See attached x-ray, the dark shadows in the abdomen are gas bubbles.

All of Blinx's test results were good. So I'm guessing she's just getting a lot of gas pains, maybe she eats too fast?? She's definitely the wild twin, it's possible that's what's happening.

Unfortunately Winx continued to decline throughout the day and this morning she had blood work. I had concerns that her e cuniculi was flaring up causing kidney strain. Her kidney values are elevated and she's showing an immune response indicating inflammation, again likely due to her previous e cuniculi diagnosis. I also requested a new e.c. titer to confirm, but those results will take some time to return.

Winx is getting fluid therapy for a few days, antibiotics to battle the infection and I'll continue with syringe feeding until she's eating enough on her own. Today she is already starting to perk up, so I'm optimistic. Next week we will recheck her blood. 🤞🏼💜

Miss Phoebe had her check up with Dr. Kate this morning. All guinea pigs should have regular dental exams. Their teeth continuously grow and sometimes as they age their teeth can shift causing tongue entrapment.

Sadly we've had a few senior pigs develop malocclusion causing their little tongues to be trapped under their molars.
Thankfully, Phoebe is doing fantastic. Teeth are perfect and she's actually increased in weight. She is getting an anti-inflammatory to help with her arthritis but otherwise no concerns! 💗

Guinea pigs should be weighed weekly and any significant decrease in weight should be investigated. These little guys tank quickly. Always offer lots of fresh hay, quality pellets, fresh veggies and a vitamin C supplement.

Blinx, blind baby number 1, is staying at the clinic to have her weird broken molar rechecked under anesthesia. I've also requested a few other diagnostics to make sure we aren't missing anything. We will run blood work and get full body x-rays. Pending those results we may run a few other tests. She's just not herself and I'm struggling to figure out what's bothering her. Hopefully I'm just being extra cautious and everything will be just fine 🤞🏼

And of course her sister Winx, is feeling dumpy today too. So I've scheduled her for a dental, as we know she's really sensitive about any minor teeth changes. These girls !!😵‍💫💜
