Transition to Betterness (T2B) is dedicated to providing comfort care to patients and their families impacted by a life-altering illness in our local area hospitals in Windsor and Essex County. Values, Mission, and Vision

More than just a tote bag. 💙

The Dr. Michelle Prince Comfort Care Tote Program was launched in May 2018 to support and empower patients at the very start of their cancer journey.

Offered at the Windsor Regional Hospital Cancer Centre, the program provides high-quality, custom tote bags to patients beginning chemotherapy treatment, helping them feel cared for from day one.

The contents of every tote were hand-selected by Dr. Michelle Prince based on her own experience with chemotherapy and its side effects.

From a warm blanket and to tea, ginger chews, and other comfort items, every detail is intended to help patients feel supported from day one.

Through programs, initiatives, and community support, Transition to Betterness helps provide moments of comfort, care, and encouragement to patients and families throughout their healthcare journey.

Whether it's a warm meal, a thoughtfully packed tote, a welcoming space, or simply a reminder that someone cares, these moments can make a meaningful difference.

Road to Transition returns on August 9, 2026, bringing together automotive enthusiasts for an unforgettable day of incredible vehicles, scenic roads, and community impact in support of Transition to Betterness.

For children undergoing treatment, comfort can make all the difference.

Through Back the Pack, Transition to Betterness provides pediatric oncology patients with backpacks filled with thoughtful items designed to bring comfort, distraction, and support throughout their treatment journey.

Each backpack is packed with care and serves as a reminder that an entire community is standing behind them.

This impactful program is made possible through the generous support of the Stephanie and Barry Zekelman Foundation, helping us bring comfort to local children and families when it's needed most.

Fashion Week Windsor’s Flowers for a Cause is coming to Chapter Two Brewing from May 26–31, with proceeds benefiting Transition to Betterness.

Throughout the week, fresh flowers will be available for purchase during regular business hours, with every bouquet helping support programs and services for local patients and families across Windsor-Essex.
