Windsor4Palestine is proud to support and endorse the 3rd Annual Sporas Poetry Competition 🎉✍🏽

Whether you are an aspiring poet or an experienced writer, this is a powerful opportunity for youth to share their voices. Sporas is inviting individuals ages 10–35 to submit original poems that express solidarity with Palestine or reflect on Palestinian culture, history, resistance, community, and connection.

This initiative creates space for creative expression while strengthening cultural awareness and community engagement across the diaspora.

Competition Details:
• Four winners will be selected (one from each age cohort)
• Each winner will receive a $100 prize
• Winning poems will be published in Olive Branch Quarterly Magazine
• Winners will be invited to perform at the Sporas Community Land Day Dinner in Kitchener on April 5

Now is *not* the moment to fall silent. The world was told there was a ceasefire, *but it was a lie meant to quiet us while the violence continued.* This is precisely why our activism must rise again with even greater force.

Even in the cold, even when exhaustion hits, we can still keep the flame alive !

drive with your flags, make yourself seen, refuse to disappear. Our presence reminds the world that we will not stop until *True Liberation* is realized.

We push forward, even when staying consistent feels like a battle of its own, because justice demands persistence.

We continue to call for complete sanctions *no trade, no complicity* with any state that commits atrocities against innocent civilians whose lives matter just as much as anyone else’s.

As many prepare for their holidays, families in Palestine are fighting simply to stay alive in the bitter cold, with no shelter left after more than 80% of their homeland has been reduced to rubble.

The least we can do is keep speaking, keep showing up, keep resisting because *Awareness itself is resistance and a moral obligation*, and silence is not an option in the face of genocide.

Windsor4Palestine is hosting a car rally *this Saturday, November 29 at 4 PM*, riding through the streets of Windsor in solidarity with the global struggle for freedom and justice. This is a car-based protest, allowing everyone to participate comfortably, regardless of the cold. This way we can keep our activism strong and active.

*All are encouraged to bring their country’s flag* to represent and honor oppressed communities around the world, as we stand for freedom for all people.

*We must remember that even though a ceasefire was allegedly agreed upon in Gaza, the fired has not ceased from Israels side*.

*The ceasefire has been breached over 500 times in 44 days*, resulting in the deaths of more than 260 innocent civilians and injuring many more.

Meanwhile, up to 90% of Gaza has been demolished, leaving nearly 2.3 million civilians stranded in harsh, cold, and unbearable weather conditions. If you’re unable to attend, please help spread the word so others can join.

Together, we educate, raise awareness, and amplify the call for liberation everywhere.
