WindsorEssex Community Foundation

WindsorEssex Community Foundation Building a better Windsor-Essex for today and forever!

We support donor desires for long-term impact while funding creative initiatives that will leave a lasting impact. Founded in 1983 as Heritage Windsor, later renamed the Greater Windsor Community Foundation, today we are known as the WindsorEssex Community Foundation (WECF). The WECF is dedicated to making our community an even better place to live, work, learn and grow by strategically connecting

donors to community needs and opportunities. We help build a vibrant, healthy community by providing grants to various sectors of the community from health & human services, education, and arts & culture to community development, the environment, and children & youth. We also lead a variety of community initiatives including Random Act of Kindness Day, the Vital Signs program, the Young Philanthropists, the Vitality Legacy Program, and the Biennial Community Cup Pro-Am Golf Tournament.

It’s a wonderful day on the course in support of the John Atkinson Memorial Scholarship Fund, held at the WECF!

A total of $10,000 in scholarships was awarded to this year's recipients, Grant S. and Lucas N. This support would not be possible without the generosity of all who have participated in the tournament over the years!

Thank you to the dedicated tournament committee, and to all who have supported this meaningful event. Together, we are proud to honour the legacy of Constable John Atkinson and helped invest in the future of students pursuing careers in law enforcement.
Your generosity will create opportunities for the next generation of professionals dedicated to service, leadership, and community.
Thank you for helping us carry John's legacy forward.
