Unifor Local 2027 is proud to support local youth by donating two bicycles to participants in the Ignite Academy program through United Way Centraide Windsor-Essex Chatham-Kent.

Ignite Academy is the first community-designed Cradle to Career initiative from ProsperUs, providing free after-school programming that helps children strengthen their literacy and math skills while supporting families in priority neighbourhoods across Windsor-Essex. The program is designed to help remove barriers and create opportunities for children to succeed both in school and in life.

These bicycles will help the students get to and from summer camp and enrichment activities while giving them the freedom to enjoy an active summer. We hope this gift helps them stay connected to the opportunities and experiences that Ignite Academy provides.

Supporting our community and investing in the next generation. We’re honoured to play a small part in helping local youth reach their full potential.
