Potato House Project Community Centre for Sustainability
Canada's ONLY 24Hr Drive-Through Compost site!

Exciting news and changes here...
We love community composting and it is growing in Williams Lake
We are switching things up a bit here at the site and transitioning away from pallet bins to collection totes.
We will be able to accept more of the Organics we used to say NO to like... meat, dairy and bones!
Make sure to close the lid and keep the clamp on to prevent any rodents from getting in there.
Soil will still be available in the Spring and Fall however this new collection method will make the process of composting easier on our team and volunteers, which have been working so hard lately.
Please reach out with questions so we can assist in the process.
We still have bags of soil available if you are looking for a last minute gift!

Thank you everyone for your concern, but please don’t enter the property. We don’t want to risk anyone from anywhere getting hurt. If you happen to drive past and notice something we should be aware of, send us a message. But please don’t enter the property. Some vitriol has been slung at our vulnerable population and that is NOT our intention. We just want to make sure the house is safe.

This is a great guide!

This is a great guide!

We got your back! Here’s a quick reference guide to curbside blue bin recycling in Williams Lake. Other jurisdictions in the Cariboo Chilcotin region have curbside collection services, including Quesnel, 100 Mile House, and 108 Mile Ranch. Collection methods may differ. Always consult the applicable municipal/regional website for a complete, printable guide. And you can always consult the Recyclepedia website: rcbc.ca/recyclepedia/ or call the fine folks at their hotline: 1-800-667-4321. We call them all the time! 😃
