Cherries Cabins, South Lake Ainslie; My foster parents retired to Lake Ainslie around 1946. There was nothing there but alder bushes so they spent their first summer clearing enough land to build a house/ cottage. As friends from the Sydney area came to fish they asked my Dad to build some cabins, he ended up building nine. Before they knew it they had fishermen coming in the spring, vacationers coming in the summer and hunters coming in the fall. It became to much for them so they sold it in 1960 and retired again. I know it changed hands a few times over the years and is now Ainslie Village Campground. It is still my favourite place in the world!--- By Phyllis Morrison
