It’s not just tragic - it’s dangerous.
In the past 24 hours alone, three moose (one pregnant) have been killed in vehicle collisions:
🛣️ Two on the Alaska Highway between Jake’s Corner and the Blue Bridge
🚗 One near Carcross
Please SLOW DOWN.

🚨Caution: Increased wildlife on the Alaska Highway 🚨

If you’re travelling between Watson Lake and Teslin, please use extra caution. There has been a significant increase in wildlife along the highway, and animal–vehicle collisions are happening daily in this stretch.
What you can do:
• Slow down, especially during low light conditions
• Stay alert and scan the ditches and shoulders
• Be prepared for animals to travel in groups
• Avoid distractions and keep a safe distance from other vehicles
• Make sure your headlights are turned on and clean when you’re driving in dim or low light conditions.

Your awareness can help prevent collisions and keep both travellers and wildlife safe. Please share this message to help spread the word.
