🚐✨ Birth Worker Ride-Along with the Moccasin Mobile Outreach Van

Every 2nd last Wednesday of the month, CYFN Family Preservation Services Bibia Nàtsät Birth Workers will be riding along on the MMO van from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m.

Birth Workers will be available during those hours to offer pregnancy-related cultural, social, and emotional support.

🕑 The MMO van runs 7 days a week from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m., providing essential clothing, harm reduction supplies, snacks, hot drinks, emotional and cultural support, and first aid.

CYFN shares the findings of the Understanding Yukoners’ Attitudes Towards Vaccines (ATV) Project, co-led with Ch*****ne and Aishihik First Nations, Kwanlin Dün First Nation, and Selkirk First Nation, One Yukon Coalition, and Yukon University. Through community conversations and territorial and national surveys involving nearly 1,500 participants, the project explored how trust, relationships, access to information, and historical and cultural contexts shaped decisions about COVID-19 and influenza vaccines. Guided by First Nations data sovereignty, this research amplifies Yukon First Nations’ voices and supports culturally safe health systems and future pandemic preparedness.

Join us for the Yukon First Nations Prenatal Series! 💜

CYFN Birth Workers invite Yukon First Nations and Indigenous prenatal families to a one-day session focused on pregnancy, birth and preparing for postpartum and baby.

📍 Family Preservation Programming - 205 Black Street
💻 In-person & Zoom options available

Topics may include honouring your pregnancy journey, creating your birth bundle, labour and birth, postpartum planning, and caring for yourself and your newborn.
