Call for Artwork: Dreamscapes
Deadline: Saturday, November 28

A reminder that we currently have a call open for our wintertime members' exhibition!

Arts Underground is excited to invite Yukon Art Society members to participate in our December 2026 exhibition, ‘Dreamscapes’, on view in both the Focus and Edge Galleries from December 4 - January 2.

Works around the theme of dreams, fantasies, nightmares, and the imaginary are all welcome. Artists are encouraged to interpret this theme however they wish. It could be a scene from a dream you’ve had, a landscape you’ve visited and think about often, an imaginary creature, or even a colour palette that you feel suits the theme. These are just a few examples! If you’re unsure if your piece would fit the theme or size requirements, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Artists are invited to bring the following:

Two-Dimensional/Wall Hanging Work
One large piece (bigger than 20” width or height)
Up to two medium pieces (between 10” x 10” - 20”x20”)
Up to three pieces smaller than 10”x10”

Three-Dimensional Work
Up to two large pieces (must be able to fit on a plinth, max. 2’x2’)
Up to three small pieces (ie. cups, bowls, jewellery, clothing items)

If you decide to bring works across multiple mediums or sizes (ie. 1 large painting and 2 small jewellery pieces), a maximum of three pieces will be accepted for each artist.

All work must be available for sale and purchases will leave the gallery if sold.

To participate in this members’ exhibition, you must be registered for a 2026-27 All Access Membership.

For more information about the submission guidelines, please visit our website. The link can be found in our profile.

Today we're excited to launch a new initiative at Arts Underground!

The Youth Artist Feature is an initiative started to give young and emerging artists the opportunity to showcase their work for 1 month in our Members’ Gallery. This gives them the chance to experience selling their artwork in a gallery setting and get a sense of what work they might want to focus on going forward.

Young artists ages 13 - 20 are encouraged to apply. For more information, you can visit our website here: https://www.artsunderground.ca/youth-artist-features

This month's artist is Whitehorse-based Little Salmon/Carmacks First Nation artist Meeka O'Brien! Meeka is selling a collection of cute polymer clay figures, which will be on display in the gallery and in our online store until November 13.
