Last week, we spent three unforgettable days on the land at Long Ago People's Place for our very first BBYN Youth Leadership Retreat. We learned from an Elder, shared stories around the fire, and found something so many of us had been searching for: belonging. ❤️

Our first-ever BBYN Youth Leadership Retreat is one for the books, and it simply would not have happened without the incredible people and organizations who believed in it. ❤️

Happy International Youth Day! This year's theme is "Different Contexts, Common Aspirations," and it landed differently after our weekend at Pine Lake, hiking up to Kings Throne with our BBYN youth.

Everyone on that trail came from a different starting point: different countries, different languages, different stories of how they ended up calling the Yukon home. But partway up, none of that mattered as much as the next step, or the hand reaching back to help someone else along.

That's the heart of BBYN. Different contexts, but the same aspiration: to belong, to be seen, to build something here. To every young person who made that climb with us, thank you for the reminder of what this work is really for.
