Here’s a look at the animals currently available for adoption!

We’d also love to see some of them spend time in foster homes while they wait for their forever families. A foster home gives them a break from shelter life and a chance to enjoy the comforts of a home.

If you’re interested in helping an animal, whether through adoption or fostering, drop by the shelter for a chat. We’d love to talk with you!

Julien is a one-year-old male cat who is full of love. He’s very affectionate, loves cuddles, and is great with kids! Julien is waiting for a special neutering procedure, which may involve another surgery and testosterone testing. This may take between 1 and 4 months. We’d much rather he spend this waiting period in a loving home than at the shelter.

Ugga is available for adoption or foster. She is a spayed female Shepherd cross, around 9–10 years old and about 40 lbs. She is a very sweet, easy-going girl who loves her walks, adventures, and especially cuddling under a blanket.
Ugga's adoption fee is $150

Pudding is available for adoption or foster. She is a 4.5yr old shepherd cross. She is good with kids of all ages and fine with cats. She can be selectively reactive with other dogs. Her adoption fee is $400.

Little Foot is available for adoption or foster. She was the mama of our Land Before Time litter. Her puppies have all found homes and Little Foot is ready for her new home. She is a lovely, 1.5 year old Shepherd cross. Her adoption fee is $400

Mama Fratelli is available for adoption or foster. Mama is a super sweet young hound cross. She is good with kids and other dogs and would likely be fine with cats. Mama is high energy and full of life, but she is eager to please and keen to learn. She is taking the Basic Manners class at Wise Canine with Tiara, our Assistant Kennel Manager.

Garganelli and Spaghetti are available for foster while they await their neuters. They are from the Pasta Litter and are 6 months old.

Kenai is available for adoption or foster. He is a large mixed breed dog, he likely some german shepherd and husky in him. Kenai is 6yrs old and good with kids.
He has lived with other dogs, however he is leash reactive and not great with dogs he does not know. His adoption fee is $400.

Yeti is available for adoption or foster. He is approximately 2yrs old. A mixed breed large dog, that could have akita/husky/shepherd in him. Yeti is a lovely dog. He is high energy and very affectionate. He would thrive in a active home. His adoption fee is $400

We are open Tuesday - Saturday from noon - 6 pm. Drop by to meet this crew!

Not able to foster? No problem! Our dogs can always use a good walk and some time out of the shelter.

Puppy Foster Homes Needed for the "The Disney Friends" litter.

We have a dozen puppies who aren't quite old enough to be adopted yet, but they would really benefit from spending the next 2-3 weeks in foster homes! They are around 5-6 weeks old currently - we think.

We're looking for foster families willing to take a least two puppies at a time into their homes. Being together allows them to learn from each other, much like littermates do, while they get plenty of enrichment, socialization and experience in a home environment.

The puppies are vaccinated for their age, and dewormed. We provide the food and other supplies if needed.

If you're interested in fostering a couple of puppies for the next couple of weeks, please drop by the shelter.

Ace is looking for a new home.
Ace is 18 months old and he is a Belgian Malinois, German Shepherd, and Greyhound mix. He is 90 lbs and very strong, and needs some work with leash training and recall. He will probably need a person who is taller/good physical shape to be able to handle him.

That said, he is a lovely boy, he is good with my 10 year old female mixed breed dog, and he is good with my 8 year old son. He is very protective of his people.

I don’t know how he would be with cats, but I anticipate probably would chase/go after them as he freaks out about squirrels or rabbits.

He is neutered and up to date on his vaccinations.

Meet the Bugs!!!!!!!
Cricket - Female - adopted!
Damselfy - Female
Firefly - Female - Adopted!
Grasshopper - Male - Adopted!
Stink Bug - Female - Adopted!
Weevil - Male - Adopted!

These puppies are mixed-breed puppies, and while we know Mom (her picture is in the comments - Queen Bee), we’re not sure who Dad is. Mom is medium-sized, so we suspect these pups will grow to be medium-sized dogs, too.

They can be a little shy and unsure when meeting new people, but they warm up quickly. They love treats and are eager to learn.

They’re at an age where they can begin learning to live with children, other dogs and cats.

Our puppy adoption fee is $500. This includes their future spay or neuter, with HSY covering the cost of the surgical portion of the bill.

Meet Molly
Molly is a 2-year-old Lab cross who came back to the shelter through no fault of her own.

Molly is a lovely, smart girl who attaches quickly to her person and can be very loving once she feels comfortable. She is quick to learn and responds well to training.

Molly is also a nervous dog, especially around new people. She does not warm up immediately to anyone and needs time to feel comfortable with people coming into her space. Introducing her to new people will need to be handled carefully and slowly, allowing her to build trust at her own pace.

Molly's new adopter will need to be committed to continuing her training and helping her feel comfortable and confident in her new home.

If you think Molly might be the right dog for you, please come in to meet her and have a chat with our kennel staff about her needs before making a decision. We want to make sure Molly finds the right home where she can take the time she needs to settle in and build her confidence. Her adoption fee will be $400.

Honey is a one-year-old spayed female cat who is ready to find her loving forever home!

She’s spent the past six weeks at the shelter waiting for her spay surgery, and now she’s all ready to find her own home.

Honey has had lots of visitors at the shelter who have spent time with her and given her plenty of love. She loves to play and hang out on the cat tree and the cat room cozy chair. Now she’s hoping to find someone who will make her part of the family.

She really suits her name as she is sweet like honey. She has lived with a cat and dog in her previous home, and has been good with both. She also loves the other cats here at the shelter. She should be fine with kids with proper introduction.

Meet Shuppet
Shuppet is a spayed female cat who has finished raising her five kittens who all looked exactly like her. They have all found their own homes, and now it is her turn. Her sister Mawile was also adopted in early July.

Shuppet is a super affectionate, sweet girl who loves licky tubes and cuddles. She will always find someone to give her affection and attention. She loves to perch on your shoulder or your back if you let her.

We think she would likely do well with kids. We have observed here that she does not like other cats. We do not know how she will be with dogs.

Shuppet was a great mom, and gave her kittens a great start in life. Now she’s ready for someone to give her the home she deserves. If you would like to meet her, please drop by the shelter. Her adoption fee will be $350

Meet Frankie
Frankie is a neutered, one-year-old boy looking for a home of his own!

He is an extremely affectionate guy who loves attention.

We’re not sure how he would be with children, other cats or dogs, so introductions would need to be handled with care.

Frankie was a kitten here at the shelter as part of the Rock Litter late last year. and was returned through no fault of his own
