Rocco
May 2000 – May 2026

Rocco was a true staple of our Yukon community. was the horse everyone stopped in to see while getting their massive cinnamon buns

For 26 years he stood tall through every winter and long summer night. He was a strong, big boy — proud as a stallion should be, but with the gentlest eyes. He’d watch the road, greet every familiar face, and remind us to slow down for a moment.

Rocco passed peacefully. He was sweet, steady, and loved by all who knew him. He will be remembered by everyone who ever paused at the fence line for a hello.

Rest easy, old man. The ground is soft now, the grass is green, and the sky is wide open. Run free.

We’ll miss you, Rocco.

Rocco is big mad. We took down his shelter and attempted to remove all the mud and p**p before the ground got the bobcat. He worked hard on that p**p pile he says. We are taking out all the trees in the pens and the tree lines to expansion of the pens that are going up. Hoping to have a lot more room to move shortly!
