MCY Rainbow Group LGBTQ+ Group The Rainbow Group brings visibility and support to le***an, gay, bisexual, trans, two-spirit and queer/questioning immigrants in the Yukon.

The Rainbow Group is a reflection of our commitment to welcome and include all members of the immigrant community and to create a positive space that is free of discrimination and harassment based on gender and sexual identity. For many LGBT+ immigrants, Canada provides their first opportunity to "come out." However, witnessing displays of insults and harassment may prevent a lot of people from se

lf-identifying. Struggling with their own identity may also prevent some people from coming out. Whatever their reasons, many LGBT+ immigrants feel isolated and alone. This can be a difficult and confusing time but support and access to resources can ease the process. The Rainbow Group provides general support and a safe and positive environment where LGBT+ immigrants can feel welcome and confident that their sexual and gender diversity will be respected and celebrated. The Rainbow Group is here to provide a welcoming and inclusive space for LGBT+ immigrants to socialize and meet other people of the same or different identity.
