Workshop Alert!
Do you have an embroidery machine and want to try quilting with it? Join our workshop on April 6th from 10 am - 3 pm to explore quilting as you go, edge to edge and individual designs. this hands-on workshop will build your confidence as you choose designs and stitch out samples. Space is limited, so register early by emailing [email protected]. Instructions to send payment will be sent from there. Cost: $55 and includes a light lunch.

Who doesn’t love a good story? Sandra Walker has found through her nearly 30 years of quilt making that a great many of her quilts do, in fact, hold precious stories. Some of the quilts’ stories contain love and appreciation; others hold anger and anguish. Some are full of joy and celebration, while others tell very personal stories of learning and healing. This is a presentation of quilts that not only inspires visually, but will also tell tales, be they heartwarming or poignant, likely thought-provoking, behind and within the quilts.

Sandra’s designs have been published in several magazines; she sews for a few different fabric companies, and was an Island Batik ambassador for three years. Her ‘Tinker Toys’ baby quilt is in the current issue of Fons & Porter’s Love of Quilting and another design of hers will be in the November issue of Make Modern.
