Your Whitby Firefighters’ want you to know Your Vote Matters.

Municipal elections are about more than choosing who sits around the council table. They're about the future of our community and the essential services we all rely on.

Your municipal tax dollars help fund Whitby Fire and Emergency Services, providing the firefighters, equipment, and resources needed to keep our growing community safe.

We're not asking you to vote for the candidates we endorse.

We're asking you to think about the people who are there when you need them most.

The candidates we've endorsed recognize the importance of investing in public safety and ensuring our fire service has the resources it needs to keep pace with Whitby's growth.

As your Whitby firefighters, we believe strong communities are built through informed decisions, meaningful conversations, and leadership that understands the importance of public safety.

When you cast your ballot, remember that the decisions made at Town Hall have a direct impact on the safety of our community.

Your vote helps shape Whitby's future. Make it count.

Behind every emergency response are countless hours of training, preparation and teamwork that help ensure Whitby firefighters are ready for whatever comes through the door.

As our community grows and the emergencies we respond to continue to evolve, investing in modern training opportunities is an important part of keeping both our firefighters and the public safe.

Mayor Elizabeth Roy has supported investments in Whitby Fire, including the development of Whitby’s first live-fire training tower, giving our firefighters more opportunities to train for the real-world emergencies we face.

For us, it means being better prepared when our community needs us most.
Because when seconds matter, preparation matters too.

Keeping Whitby safe also means looking after the firefighters who are there when our community needs them.

Firefighting comes with risks that extend beyond the emergency itself. That’s why continued investment in modern protective equipment and firefighter health and safety is so important.

Mayor Elizabeth Roy has recognized the importance of protecting the long-term health of Whitby’s firefighters and supported investments that help ensure our crews have the equipment they need to do their jobs as safely as possible, including funding for new protective gear.

For us, that support means knowing the health and safety of the people behind the uniform remains part of the conversation.

Because protecting Whitby also means protecting the people who answer the call.
