We are a part of an organization that has one goal, to improve our Public Speaking. At Toastmasters you can do that in a supportive group of your peers.

Whitby Intrepid Toastmasters! We are a diverse group of individuals who are excited to share in the experience of helping others learn to speak in front of a group. We all started with the same goal...to improve our public speaking. And we now know that this approach works...and is fun. Toastmasters will give you the skills and confidence you need to effectively express yourself in any situation.

Whether you are a professional, student, stay-at-home parent or retiree, Toastmasters is the most efficient, enjoyable and affordable way of gaining great communication skills. By learning to effectively formulate and express your ideas, you open an entirely new world of possibilities. You’ll be more persuasive and confident when giving presentations, and you’ll improve your one-on-one dealings with others. We are located at:

Our Meetings will be held in the Chapel Room. Take the elevators in the dining room to the bottom floor and look for the banner

Meeting starts at Mondays - 7:30 till 9:00;
(Please aim to arrive for 7:15 gives you time to get acquainted and get a drink for the Loyal Toast)

Join us on Monday, January 26, 2026 for our International Speech Club Contest at 7pm. The contest will be held at Lynde Creek Gardens, 50 Paul Burns Way, Whitby. Watch members of Whitby Intrepid Toastmasters as they push themselves out of their comfort zone and go for top prize! Winners of this club contest will move on to compete against other club winners in the area.

On November 25th Whitby Intrepid Toastmasters celebrated its 25th Anniversary as a club. Members came out in full force to celebrate this important milestone. Fun was had by all as we gathered at Melanie Pringles Restaurant in Whitby. A big thank you the organizers of this great event, Mary Pomeroy Brown and her team Isabelle Bléou Godin Pailloux, Virgie Bianan and Kayla Taaffe. They had all the essentials needed for a great party, bubbly for the toast, food, prizes, Toastmasters and of course Table Topics! A big thank you to our keynote speaker Roger Caesar DTM for adding his wisdom to our special night. It was also great to have special guests current District 123 Director, Mike Proudlock DTM and IPDD, Heather Drakes-Blackmore DTM and past PQD, Mark Blackmore DTM. Overall it was a night to remember as we not only celebrated our past growth, but looking forward to another 25 years of continued learning and growth.
