Interpretive Forest Walk at SLCC

Join us on September 30 for a special community outing for newcomers and immigrants.

We’ll meet at Whistler Public Library at 2:15 PM and walk together to the Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre (SLCC) for the 3:00 PM Interpretive Forest Walk (Weather dependent)

The experience includes a traditional welcome, a short film introducing the cultures and values of the two Nations, and a guided forest walk with a Cultural Ambassador to learn about the local land, plants, and wildlife.

Afterwards, we’ll enjoy refreshments together, with an opportunity to try Indigenous food, if available.

Alice Lake Provincial Park – July 15–17
(In partnership with Learn to Camp and BC Parks)

This is a free program designed to provide participants with the basics of safe camping, as well as access to the beautiful natural areas within our provincial parks in the region.

This camping trip will take place at Alice Lake Provincial Park from Wednesday, July 15 to Friday, July 17 (two nights).

Join our welcoming hiking program designed to help you learn the basics of hiking while exploring some of the most beautiful BC Parks in the Sea to Sky region.

This FREE program offers guided hikes throughout the summer in a safe, supportive, and friendly environment—perfect for beginners!
