Congratulations to all Kin Canada members for collectively raising over $32.7 million for Canadian communities in our 2025/26 Kin Year!

Every community in Canada has different needs. Local service clubs - like Kin - give volunteers a space to help ensure those needs are met. Do you have a club making a difference in your city or town? Find out at www.kincanada.ca/find-a-club.

Today our Kinette Club gathered for another Emily Tea, a special tradition to remember our sweet, funny, and deeply missed Kinette, Emily. It has been just over a year since we lost her to an impaired driver on Canada Day, and we continue to honour her memory by spending time together—the way she would have loved.

This year we tried Caffe 56 for the first time and enjoyed frappuccinos, a coffee float, and a latte. I almost ventured out and ordered a dirty soda… maybe next time! ☕😉

More than anything, it was wonderful to catch up on everyone’s summer, share stories, laugh together, and enjoy each other’s company. Emily is always in our hearts, and we’re grateful for these moments that keep her memory alive. 💜

💙 What a year it’s been for the Kinette Club of Wetaskiwin! 💙

We’re incredibly proud of what our dedicated members have accomplished together this year.

✨ $7,200 donated back into our community.
✨ 857.5 hours of volunteer service given to local causes and events.

Every fundraiser, every event, and every hour volunteered is a reflection of our members’ commitment to making Wetaskiwin a stronger, more caring community.

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported us throughout the year—our volunteers, community partners, and everyone who attended our events. Together, we’re making a difference!

Here’s to another year of serving our community with heart. 💙

“Thank you to the Wetaskiwin Kinette Club for this generous scholarship and for supporting students like me in their educational journeys! I am very grateful.”

“ I graduated from Wetaskiwin Composite High School in 2021 and completed a Bachelor of Health Sciences in Public Health at the University of Lethbridge. I am currently pursuing a Master of Public Policy and Global Affairs at UBC and working for the government of BC this summer. “

“My academic path has been focused on understanding social challenges and developing ways to address them through policy and public health approaches. This scholarship will help support the financial demands of graduate studies, including tuition and the very high cost of living in Vancouver. Thank you again!!”

The Wetaskiwin Kinettes and Wetaskiwin Firefighters had a great time working at Edmonton International Raceway this past weekend! Vroom Vroom! 🏎️

Thanks to everyone’s support, we were able to donate our proceeds to the Wetaskiwin Fire Department and to a wonderful local woman.

We are proud to give back to our community and appreciate everyone who helped make this possible. ❤️

The Wetaskiwin Kinettes were proud to present BC & Alberta Guide Dogs with a cheque for $3,000 from the proceeds of our Fashion Show & Tea!

This incredible organization provides guide dogs for people who are blind or visually impaired, autism support dogs for children and families, and service dogs for veterans living with Operational Stress Injuries (OSI) and PTSD.

Thank you to everyone who attended, donated, volunteered, and supported this special event. Your generosity is helping change lives — one dog at a time. 💙🐾
