Youth Speaking Competition

Do you enjoy public speaking, agriculture and the opportunity to win some money?

Then the Calgary Stampede has an AWESOME opportunity for YOU this summer!

The Youth Agriculture Speaking Championships take place Saturday, July 11th. This exciting opportunity for youth ages 11-24 who are passionate about public speaking and agriculture with $15,000 in prizes and awards.

Scholarship Reminder:

The Elmer and Ona Hansen Memorial Fund Scholarship is now open; the application deadline is June 30, 2026, at 12:00 pm (Noon).

Applicants must be enrolled as a first-year student at an acknowledged post-secondary institution and not have previously started or completed a post-secondary program.

They must be a young rural farm person, resident of Alberta, and complete the information as outlined in the application. Applicants must provide confirmation that they have or are currently living on a family farm.
