The Lions Club roar loud again. The Westport Lions Club twice a year ( spring and fall ) disperse funds they raise through their many fundraising events; they include raffles, ticket draws, a recent fish fry dinner ( it was delicious) and other innovative ways to raise money for local organizations. The Lions receive applications for funds and distribute their monies throughout our community.

The Food Bank was the recipient of a $2000 spring donation from the Lions Club.

The Westport Food Bank extends a heartfelt thank you to Seamus, Maureen, and the entire team at The Cove Inn for their incredible generosity and ongoing support of our community.

Thanks to their efforts, the Food Bank recently received a donation of $450 from the East Coast Experience Band event held on Saturday evening, as well as $715 raised through a Sunday Funday 50/50 draw held on April 12.

The Cove Inn continues to be a significant contributor to the Westport Food Bank, and we are deeply grateful not only for their support, but also for the generosity of everyone who attends Cove events and contributes to the fundraising initiatives they organize throughout the year.

Community support like this makes a real difference in the lives of local families. Thank you, Seamus, Maureen, The Cove Inn, and all of your patrons for helping us continue to serve those in need.

🎶❤️ What a wonderful evening at Dragonfly!

Friday night’s fundraiser concert featuring the talented Linden Grove Quartet was absolutely beautiful. Their performance was enjoyed by everyone in attendance, and the generosity shown by our guests was truly heartwarming.

Thanks to your support, we have raised $1,005.00 for the food bank so far, including e-transfers. Every dollar will help us continue to support individuals and families in our community.

A very special thank you to Sasha and John Puxty, the wonderful owners of Dragonfly (formerly Stepping Stone), for organizing and hosting this fundraiser. Their kindness and commitment to the community are greatly appreciated. We were also delighted to learn that they grow apples and have offered to donate some of their harvest this fall for our food bank clients.

Thank you to the musicians, our hosts, and everyone who attended and donated. Together, you are making a real difference in the lives of others. 💕🍎🎻

🎻✨ An Evening of Beautiful Music for a Wonderful Cause ✨🎻

The Westport Food Bank is honoured to welcome the Linden Grove String Quartet for a special evening of music by Dragonfly Westport on Friday, June 12th at 7:30 PM at the Coach House.

Featuring works by Beethoven, Benesh, and Myaskovsky, this promises to be an elegant and inspiring night in an intimate setting — all in support of families in our community who rely on the Westport Food Bank.

Every ticket by donation helps us continue supporting over 55 local families with nutritious food and essential items. Your evening out can truly make a difference close to home.

A big thanks to Enbridge Gas who pledged $2500 to be split evenly among the 5 local food banks as support of the Rideau Lakes Holiday Food Drive. A huge thank you from the Westport Food bank to the Township of Rideau Lakes for spearheading this initiative 🙏

The Westport Food Bank currently supports more than 55 families in our community, and the need continues to grow.

We are incredibly grateful for every donation we receive, big or small. Monthly giving helps us provide consistent support to local families and ensures our shelves stay stocked throughout the year.

please remember to bring your current information with you on your shopping day this month, which would be either April 9 or April 23. Any documents showing your address, household income & number of people living in the home will help to update our records for registration. If these records are not updated this spring you will be removed as a client.

Rideau Lakes Fire and Rescue Hockey Challenge

They shoot, and the local food banks score! The Rideau Lakes Fire and Rescue Team deserve great praise for their food bank fundraiser, the 2026 Firehouse Cup. They raised $3,200 and collected 240 pounds of food split evenly between the Westport, Portland, Elgin and Delta Food Banks. See some pictures below that highlight this fun and beneficial event.Thank you Lesley, volunteers, players and all of the members of our fantastic Rideau Lakes Fire and Rescue Team.

Rideau Vista supports the Westport Food Bank

A huge shoutout to teacher Danielle McIntosh and her grade 2/3 class at Rideau Vista Public School. Their efforts raised over 690 dollars for the Westport Food Bank. They also made special treats that were added to the family Christmas hampers delivered in our community. Thank you Danielle for making learning fun, interactive and beneficial to our Food Bank.
