Ex SUMMER PATHFINDER //

200 personnel. 4 days. 3 training courses. Led by the officers and NCOs of 525 Squadron, personnel from right across the Lower Mainland Area planned and executed the annual 4-day multi-unit aircrew survival exercise.

Cadets on the Junior Course learned the basics of fieldcraft and aircrew survival, and worked together through team-building challenges. Senior Course candidates ruck marched to their training site and spent the weekend honing their skills and independently setting up and maintaining biv sites. The Solo Course put cadets to the ultimate test: 48 hours alone in a supervised, simulated survival scenario.

On June 6th, 525 RCACS participated in the West Vancouver Community Culture Fest, a showcase of food, music and culture from different community groups. Visitors to our booth had an opportunity to learn about the squadron and the activities we offer as well as a chance to spin the wheel for prizes.

On June 8th, a few members, escorted by Capt Mok, were present at the West Vancouver Council meeting where the council acknowledged the 75th Anniversary of 525 Pathfinder RCACS. We appreciated the opportunity to attend.

It was an honour to meet so many members of the West Vancouver community over the past few days!
