Ocean Ambassadors Canada

Ocean Ambassadors Canada Ocean Ambassadors is turning the tide of marine pollution by getting students into the ocean, educating them, and empowering them to make real change.

We provide Grade 6 & 7 students in the Lower Mainland with an inspiring educational experience that culminates in our on-the-beach Ocean Camp program. In this four-hour workshop, students learn to stand-up-paddle, participate in a clean-up and take part in a hands-on educational workshop on the beach. Our Ocean Camp program links to the new BC Curriculum focus on flexible learning environments. Ou

r materials correlate to the BC Curriculum “Big Idea” in Social Studies, Career Education and Physical and Health Education – and to the core competencies.

From June 1–30, 2026, we’re launching Protect What We Love Deep Cove – a month-long community initiative designed to inspire people to connect with and care for the incredible natural spaces that make North Vancouver so special.

Throughout the month participants will complete fun and accessible challenges, on their own, with friends or as a family, that encourage them to spend more time in nature and take action to reduce waste and protect our ocean. Participants who complete challenges will be encouraged to post their efforts on social media (or send a photo to us by text 604-312-6023), and be entered to win weekly prizes celebrating outdoor adventure, wellness and community connection.

The Sustainable R’s are key to building a greener future! 🌱
This week at our summer programs, campers put these eco-friendly habits into action through hands-on activities and workshops that helped reduce plastic waste and keep clothing out of landfills. Small changes in mindset and lifestyle can make a big difference in minimizing waste, conserving resources, and reducing our overall environmental impact. ♻️💚
