At the start of the project, our Project Manager made a promise to a housing provider: when the project was successfully completed, he would personally cook smash burgers for everyone involved. Well... a promise is a promise. ๐Ÿ”

While we can't guarantee smash burgers at the end of every project, we can promise that we bring our hearts, dedication, and full commitment to every partnership. Building strong relationships, supporting our housing providers, and celebrating success together is what Asset Strategies is all about.

Because great projects aren't just about delivering resultsโ€”they're about the people who make them happen.

One of the most persistent shortcomings of the National Housing Strategy is its inadequate response to the housing needs of Indigenous peoples living in urban, rural, and northern contexts outside of Indigenous-governed systems and communities.

CHRA recommends that the federal government:
โ€ข Enshrine the for-Indigenous, by-Indigenous principle in the design, delivery, and governance of all federal housing programming serving Indigenous peoples in URN contexts, consistent with Canadaโ€™s obligations under the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (2021).
โ€ข Ensure that the next iteration of a ten-year National Housing Strategy incorporates the expertise of the URN Indigenous-led community housing sector from the outset and consistently, not as an afterthought.

Check out our recommendations for Budget 2026.
