If you’re interested in getting involved, gaining experience, staying connected to the game, and helping keep hockey going in our community, we’d love to have you!

Wembley Minor Hockey currently has a few player openings available for the upcoming season!

🟢 U9 — 4 spots available
🥅 U13 — 1 goalie spot available
🥅 U15 — 1 goalie spot available

Ice times will begin in mid-September, with evaluations taking place around the same time.

We are incredibly grateful to CSV Midstream Solutions and the Northwestern Alberta Foundation for their generous **$10,000 Creating Shared Value Grant** in support of the Wembley & District Agricultural Society. FluidPro Arena & Recreation Centre

As Wembley Minor Hockey, we see firsthand just how important this arena is to our community. It’s where kids learn to skate, develop their skills, make lifelong friendships, and create memories with their teammates. It’s where families spend countless evenings cheering from the stands and where our community comes together to support one another.

For a small community like ours, investments like this mean so much more than simply completing a necessary repair. They help preserve a place that plays such an important role in the lives of our kids, families, athletes, and community.

We are so fortunate to have organizations like CSV Midstream Solutions and the Northwestern Alberta Foundation that recognize the importance of giving back and investing in the communities where they live and operate.

CSV Midstream Solutions believes doing business well means investing in the communities where they operate. Through the Creating Shared Value Fund, a percentage of proceeds from their Albright plant goes directly back into the region around it.

One of this year's $10,000 grants supports the Wembley & District Agricultural Society, funding a rebuild of the arena's dehumidifier.

The Wembley arena is a cornerstone of the community. This investment helps the building last longer and keeps kids on the ice and in the game for years to come.

EQUIPPED TO PLAY: LAST WEEK TO DONATE! 🏒🚲

Wildcats families, we are officially in the last week of collecting gently used sports equipment in collaboration with Sport Central and KidSport Peace Country!

Because the North doesn't have a local used-equipment bank, Sport Central has spent years stepping up -shipping vital gear directly to Peace Country families whenever they are referred through KidSport to ensure all kids can play.

Bins will be pulled on August 2nd, so let's make this final push count!

How to Support:
Clean out your garage, shed, or basement! If you have gently-used sports equipment or bikes less than 10 years old, please donate. They accept all types of sports gear - including hockey equipment!

Drop-Off Locations:
-Boston Pizza – Westgate (Get a voucher for a FREE Bandera Bread Appetizer when you donate! Limit one per family).
-Canadian Tire
-Fountain Tire in Whispering Ridge

Wildcats families, let’s team up to support Kidsport Peace Country and Sport Central! Because our region doesn't have a local used-equipment bank, Sport Central ships gear directly to the Peace Region to ensure all youth can play.

From July 2nd to August 2nd, they are running a dedicated equipment donation drive.
