Did you know? In 2012, the Wembley Fire Department created the Chief Ronald W. Clarke Memorial Fund in honour of Chief Clarke’s memory and his ultimate sacrifice in service to our community.
Through this fund, a scholarship is awarded to a County of Grande Prairie and area resident who demonstrates a strong commitment to the Peace Country and is pursuing a career in an emergency service or healthcare related field.
Eligible programs include: Firefighting, Emergency Medical Services, Paramedicine, Nursing and Physician or Enforcement Services.
This scholarship helps support the next generation of emergency service and healthcare professionals.

Last year, we gave out $63,360 in student awards to 85 recipients here in Northwestern Alberta, and this year, we're doing it again!
