Thank you to all who answered our call for help! We are truly moved by the amount of food collected and cash donations received.

Good news… our shelves are full with enough food to get us through the summer.

Special thanks to the following groups:
- Wellesley District Lions Club for their ongoing support and youth dance food drive
- Paradise Lions Club for their food drive, food & cash collection at the J***y Herrgott BBQ and Tuesday night bingo food drive
- Old Saints Hockey Club for their generous donation of $2,000 of purchased food items
- Nailed It! Aesthetics for their client food drive
- Faith Mennonite Vocation Bible School for their food drive
- Desjardins Insurance Kitchener for their food donation
- Wellesley Township staff for their support and providing space for food collection

Hello neighbours. The Wellesley Community Food Cupboard needs your help. Our shelves are bare!

We currently have 35 families in Wellesley Township that depend on our support. Part of that support includes having the ability to ‘shop’ our shelves for items needed to feed their families. Unfortunately our current offering of goods falls well short of what these families require.

The items needed most include:
- breakfast cereal
- peanut butter
- pasta & pasta sauce
- canned meat (tuna, salmon, chicken)
- canned pastas & stews
- canned soup
- canned fruit & vegetables
- cookies & crackers
- juice boxes
- snacks

Food donations can be dropped off at the Bill Gies Recreation Centre. The Wellesley Food Cupboard donation box can be found in the front lobby.

Hey hockey fans… Saturday night is the Wellesley Community Food Cupboard night at the Apple Jacks game. Come out and show your support. Take in some awesome hockey as the Apple Jacks take on the Tavistock Braves in the playoff semifinals. Non perishable food items and cash donations will be collected at the gate. GO JACKS!!

What a wonderful surprise found in the donation box this week. A package with everything a parent would want for their child’s birthday… cake mix, frosting, sprinkles, birthday candles, birthday plates, balloons and a Happy Birthday banner. The package also came with the following note: from a child who wants to be sure another child has a birthday party. What a wonderful thought! # # Caring For Neighbours.
