🌹🌸 ONLY ONE WEEK TO GO! 🌸🌹

The Welland Horticultural Society's Annual Rose & Flower Show is just ONE WEEK away!

Have you decided what you'll be entering?

Whether you have a beautiful rose bloom, a stunning peony, a unique hosta leaf, a collection of garden favourites, or a creative floral design, we'd love to see your entries. There are classes for beginners and experienced exhibitors alike, so don't be shy—give it a try!

This year's theme is 💍 "Wedding Day Delights" 💐 and includes fun design classes as well as creative categories such as:
💌 Save the Date
💍 Wedding Invitation

Not a flower grower? Those special categories can be created using any medium!

⏰ Entries accepted from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
👀 Public viewing from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
🏆 Awards announced at 8:00 p.m.

🌿✨ What an amazing time we had yesterday at the Welland Library’s Main Branch! ✨🌿

The kids absolutely shined while creating their magical fairy gardens — and truth be told, our volunteers had just as much fun crafting their own!

A huge thank‑you to Kerri and the Welland Library team for inviting us to be part of this wonderful event. The creativity, the smiles, and the excitement made the whole afternoon unforgettable.

We’re already dreaming up ideas for a possible Christmas Holiday workshop, so stay tuned!

And to the incredible ladies who volunteered and donated — thank you. Your time, energy, and enthusiasm made this event truly special. 💚

We had a great time last night with Cat. McGill, demonstrating a modern mass design. We went over the new program for the Rose and flower show. Program to be shared shortly.

Lots of good questions in regards to how to get your entries ready for the Rose and Flowers show.

We are looking forward to our June meeting, which is the Rose and Flowers show June 17th. Theme is "Wedding Day Delights."

We had a fantastic sale. Thank you to all the volunteers. You helped make the day a success. Thank you all to who donated, including Vermeer's Garden Centre and Rice Road Greenhouses and Garden Centre.

Thanks to a great bunch of volunteers. We are set up for our Plant Sale 9 am - 12 pm at Wesley United Church 244 first Ave.

Thank you to all those that donated to the sale as well. Lots to choose from.

Join us for our January Meeting and help us kick off an exciting gardening year ahead!

🕡 Doors open at 6:30 pm | Meeting starts at 7:00 pm

We’ll be talking about our plans and ideas for Welland Hort in 2026, and we’d love your input. Members are encouraged to bring along:
🌱 A favourite gardening tip
🛠️ A special gardening tool
🌸 Or something garden-related you’d like to show and share

🎥 We’ll also have a few short videos to enjoy, with links shared after the meeting.
🌾 Sherry will be sharing more ideas for our seed collection and seed swap.

👫 Bring a friend! This is a great meeting to introduce someone new to Welland Hort.

And of course… 🍿 popcorn will be provided for a fun and relaxed evening!

Had a great annual meeting tonight. Then we had some fun with a hands on work shop.
I love how creative people are.
