I am about to take on an incredibly daunting task. Something I have been referred to as "The Great Rearranging". I am going to be completely dismantling this room, clean the entire thing floor to ceiling and then rearranging the whole reptile room. Shelving units and tank racks will be moved around this room and possibly a new rack or two will be added. I plan on upgrading a couple enclosures and overhauling pretty much every single enclosure upon setting the room back up.
This rescue has grown far larger than I expected when I started this 6 years ago. All these tanks and enclosures have been slowly added and just crammed in wherever I can make it fit. It's time to set it up to accommodate all of these enclosures properly and make things a little more efficient for me.

New Product Alert!! Low Profile Reptile Vents. They come in two sizes: 2 inch and 3 inch. If they are being used for a breeding enclosure and little babies could be tripping around, I can add stainless steel screen to them. I am testing them out on one of my large hedgehog bins and they are working quite well. These colors are all PLA+. I can also print them in PETG, Black and Transparent Yellow.

Testing another 3D printed product, the Fogger Vent!! Printed in PETG.
I am testing it on my adult Mourning Gecko tank. I have been looking for something like this ever since I upgraded the ladies into this larger tank. The lid on this tank is plexiglass with holes drilled for ventilation. I removed the lid and drilled a 1 1/4" hole with a hole saw and drill, deburred the hole and installed the vent bulkhead. Once the lid was back on the tank, I hooked up the freshly cleaned and refilled Fogger and tested it out. It works great!! The stainless steel screen prevents any babies from escaping. I'll be printing a bunch of these while I'm testing. Once I'm satisfied with the results, I will post their availability.

Making some salad and feeding some animals!! Cut up some Romain lettuce and Cilantro, grated some carrots and chopped up some red and yellow Bell peppers. Topped with Bee Pollen, multivitamin and calcium. I was only able to get 1 bloom from our Hibiscus plant, so I split it between the 2 Uromastyx. The 2 Uros, Goose the Blue Tongue and Herb, our senior beardie, all got their salads today. I even had enough left to feed all 6 of the Hedgehogs some as well!!
After that, I mixed up a batch of the Repashy Mulberry Madness I picked up the other day. I fed it to both Mourning Gecko tanks, my pair of Chahouas and all 6 Crested Geckos! They filled their little bellies today and all seem to have gone back to their favorite hiding/ basking spots.

Got some great shots of my girl Medusa today while doing to tank maintenance. She just ate 2 days ago and you can see the little lump in her belly from the mouse she ate. She was out n about, cruising around her tank when I noticed her. She is such a great snake! Super chill, doesn't mind being handled. Very rarely skips a meal. Sheds perfectly in one piece almost every single time. I absolutely love this snake!

Putting one of my new products to the test! Underground Reptile Hides. I overhauled Boba's tank today and decided to test one out. His tank was completely broken down and cleaned out. Everything that was reused from original setup was washed, along with all the new decor I found to freshen up his tank. I added a few pictures of the stages of setting up the underground hide. After I was finished setting up the tank, I introduced Boba to his new environment. He made a quick trip around his tank to check everything out and headed straight to the new underground hide!
The Underground Reptile Hides come in 3 sizes and are printedin PETG. I am currently testing the medium size hides. I also have one printed up that has access doors on 2 sides of the base I plan on testing with my Hognose tank in the next few days. The lids can be printed with entrance on either side of the hide.

Hello everyone!! This is our new friend, Randall. He has come to stay with us. His owners were looking for someone to take in Randall and care for him. I figured Regional Reptile Rescue was the perfect place for him to live.
Randall is an absolute unit of a gecko!! He is a big, beefy boy. I'm guessing he has the giant gene in him. He is quite the loving gecko, but can get skiddish from time to time. My daughter, in true Auzi fashion, had him chillin on the couch, watching TV, about 15 minutes after I got in the door with him. What a kid! He will definitely get all the attention and love he wants here, we will make sure of that. I have him set up in this 40 gallon for the night, but he came with this 65 gallon front opening terrarium. I will be setting him up in the bigger tank tomorrow. It will take some work getting it back into proper working form. It comes with a built in waterfall, but requires some tinkering to get operating again. That will be a project for a little while down the road.

We still have Hedgehogs available for adoption! There are 3 currently available. We have a male and a female hoglet from the babies born here at Regional Reptile Rescue and Dozer is also ready to go to a new home. The 2 babies are 6 months old and Dozer is approximately 1 year old. All are in good health and quite active. All 3 have great appetites and eat a wide range of foods.
If you are interested in adopting one of these young hedgehogs, please reach out and we can get started on the process. Proper caging/ set up is required before adopting.
