Over 200 light displays with over 100,000 bulbs light up Waterloo Park 5:00 pm -10:30 pm every evening in December till 10:30 pm the first Saturday in January.

The lights are on in Waterloo Park until 10:30 pm this Saturday January 3, 2026.

Pick up a cup of hot chocolate tonight only (Thursday night), at the Park Inn near the Old Cabin by the Young St entrance and come for a walk in the park that the whole family will enjoy.

The lights will be turned off this Saturday January 3, 2026 at 10:30 pm until next winter. But you can still enjoy a Hot Chocolate from the Park Inn this Saturday evening.

Come for a walk in the park in Waterloo Park with a warm drink and a popcorn treat Saturday December 27 and Sunday December 28, 2025, Wednesday December 31, 2025, New Year’s Eve, up to and including New Year's Day evening Thursday January 1, 2026

Refreshments are hosted by the Optimist Club of Lakeshore Village from the Park Inn by the Log Cabin near the Young St entrance. Be warm and cozy.

We are now accepting design ideas for next year's displays. All children ages 5-10 are eligible to enter.

Hand-drawn images only (keep it simple).

Submissions must be in by January 3, 2026

Maybe your idea will end up in lights in December 2026!

FireFighters Support

Volunteers from the Waterloo Professional Firefighters Association were a great help in setting up the displays for Wonders of Winter, a festival of lights in Waterloo Park. The setup of the festival wouldn’t have gone as smoothly without them. Thank you.
