A special Friday meeting with our Rotary Club ❤️

We were so happy to welcome so many guests to our Member Guest meeting today. Thank you for joining us, learning more about Rotary, and supporting the incredible work being done within our community. 🙌🏼

One of the most meaningful moments of the morning was presenting a $10,000 donation to Marillac Place in memory of our longtime member, Harold Freure. Marillac Place provides transitional shelter and support for women who are pregnant or parenting children under 2, and we are honoured to support such an important organization while celebrating Harold’s lasting impact on our club and community.

A special thank you as well to our guest speaker, Bob Egan of Blue Rodeo, for sharing his inspiring personal story. His honesty, resilience, and message about overcoming disengagement and uncertainty truly resonated with everyone in the room. An incredible speaker and a reminder that no matter the challenges, it’s possible to overcome it all.

A meaningful meeting filled with community, connection, and inspiration. ✨

Nine new members, one shared purpose 💫

There’s something really special about watching our Rotary family grow, especially with people who carry the same passion for giving back and making a difference. Today’s induction wasn’t just about welcoming new faces, it was about strengthening a community rooted in connection, service, and heart.

A heartfelt thank you to for hosting our club at his new recording studio last night! 🎶🎶

It was such a special experience not only touring the space, but learning more about Ian, a Rotarian, and friend and someone who has poured years of passion into building something truly incredible for our community! Seeing it all come to life and the way it’s helping elevate music locally was inspiring! 🎵🎤🎵

And that’s what Rotary is all about. Yes, the impact and the work we do matter, but so do the people. Gathering with those that feel like family, celebrating each other’s accomplishments, and taking time to connect in meaningful ways. 👏🏼🎸🎸

The evening was perfectly finished with an amazing dinner by making it a truly memorable night for our club. 🙏👏🏼👏🏼

Imagine what it would feel like to be unsure if you were able to afford Christmas dinner this year? For many in the Waterloo Region that is the reality. That holiday feast feels out of reach. 💔💔

🌟 Today, 1 in 8 households in Waterloo Region don’t have enough income to feed their families. Even more sobering: 34% of food hamper recipients are children. And that reality hits even harder during the holiday season.

🌟 Kitchener-Conestoga Rotary Club’s annual Turkey Drive in partnership with the will help everyone have the joy of a Christmas meal. This program is done with volunteers from the club and many others. This ensures the dollars you donate go to the people needing help.

🌟🌟🌟 We need to raise over $500,000 to make this happen. Without your help, many will go without Christmas dinner.

The 2025 Turkey Drive is now live! 🦃🦃

Since 2003, we have partnered with Christmas Food Program to provide a special holiday meal for community members in need. ❤️🎄❤️

This year, the need is greater than ever. We must provide holiday meals for over 6,000 families and raise over $500,000. Without your help, many will go without Christmas dinner. 💔💔

A $150 donation provides a full family meal, including a turkey, while $50 provides a turkey alone. Your gift also includes additional holiday meal ingredients –everything that a home needs to celebrate this December! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

As usual the club met for lunch on Friday, but last week was different from the rest. The room was filled, the energy high, with special guest, Kitchener Mayor, Berry Vrbanovic. We were honoured to have him join our regular meeting to talk about the future of the city and have his support with Rotary in the community. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Many non-members joined us as the club shared more about what makes Kitchener-Conestoga Rotary Club and exciting and rewarding place to be. Hopefully we’ve inspired some new members to join. A place where we are passionate about giving back to our community and Internationally.

On September 15th the comes together to support women and children in our community with the annual charity golf tournament. We are proud to announce this year’s funds raised will go to support as our local recipient. 🩵🩵

Thank you Dieter and Roz Kay for hosting another annual family picnic at your home. 🍔🌭

It’s become a tradition of the club to meet here every summer along with our family members. We had a beautiful evening of delicious food, vintage vehicles, and great company. ❤️❤️
