🐉🥁 What a night! WCCA was proud to return to the 3rd Annual Far East Asian Night Market in Downtown Kitchener.
From our dragon dance (wishing everyone prosperity and good luck) to our high-energy waist drum performance, it was a joy to share the stage and celebrate Asian culture with families across the region.
Huge thanks to the Downtown Kitchener BIA and local businesses for hosting this free, inclusive event. We can’t wait to see you all again next year!

🌟 Spreading Love & Joy: WCCA Forever Young Club & Senior Club Visit Sunnyside Home! 🌟
On Saturday, July 18, volunteers and performers from the WCCA’s Forever Young Club and Senior Club spent a heartwarming afternoon at Sunnyside Home Long-Term Care.
Despite weather warnings, our dedicated team brought an energetic and diverse showcase of music, dance, and culture to the residents and staff. The event featured festive waist drum dances, elegant ballroom numbers, vibrant ethnic performances, and a lively fashion show that had everyone smiling and clapping along. To top it off, a Tai Chi sword demonstration and an interactive grand finale dance brought together performers and residents in a wonderful celebration of community. ❤️
Music and art truly know no boundaries. Seeing the residents clap along, smile, and enjoy the performances reminded us of the power of community, love, and connection across cultures.
A special thank you to all the coordinators, performers, photographers, volunteers, and the wonderful staff at Sunnyside Home for making this memorable afternoon possible!

✨ Spreading Joy & Culture at Luther Village on the Park! ✨
On July 11, the WCCA Forever Young Club and Senior Club brought a memorable afternoon of music, dance, art, and delicious treats to the wonderful residents at Luther Village on the Park! 🌸
The room was packed as our talented team showcased vibrant performances, including waist drum dancing, solo dances, live Erhu music, Italian opera, Tai Chi sword displays, and lively fashion shows. Beyond the stage, residents enjoyed a Chinese calligraphy and crafts display, interactive games like hot potato, and homemade traditional treats like spring rolls and red bean buns! 🥟🎨
Moments like these remind us of the power of art, love, and community. A heartfelt thank you to all our amazing performers, volunteers, photographers, and the Luther Village team for making this event so special! ❤️
