The GRCA is committed to fostering respectful relationships with Indigenous communities and demonstrating meaningful action in support of Indigenous stewardship and partnership within the Grand River watershed. With this in mind, we are offering a complimentary annual membership to Indigenous community members. This membership card allows entry to 11 conservation areas and the Luther Marsh Wildlife Management Area during their operating seasons, for up to 6 people in one vehicle (or walking/biking in as a group). Although this membership provides access to the conservation areas, it does not include additional costs for other amenities, such as rentals, pool admission, or camping. The membership card is valid for a minimum of one full year from date of activation, and your card will expire on the first day of the month that follows one full year of activation. Example: If your card was activated on January 5, 2026, it will expire on February 1, 2027, at the end of the day.

For entry related to hunting, access is limited to GRCA-authorized miscellaneous hunting properties, and a separate permit will still be required, and can be obtained by contacting the GRCA Administration Centre.

To receive the complementary pass, please email Fiona Stern at [email protected] and provide the following information:

Where did you hear about our annual membership pass for Indigenous Peoples?

Once your application has been processed, we will send out the annual pass via Purolator so you should receive it within a day or two. Please note, physical membership cards are required for entry into all GRCA parks and receipts (either printed or electronic) will not be accepted so you will need to wait until your card arrives to access the conservation areas.
