The Wakefield Community Food Pantry would like to extend a huge thanks to the Wakefield Market for a great fundraiser this past Saturday – well how can it not be a great fundraiser when apple crisp is involved. Donated apples were turned into amazing crisp and then servings sold by donation at the market. Special thanks to the younger sales team of Zephyr, Georgia, Norah, Sarah and Tallulah who sold every last crumb – you were a huge help and helped raise a great donation for the food pantry. A Thank You to the Wakefield Market for your continued support of the Food Pantry over the years.

A big thank you to Wakefield School and especially Allysun Welburn and her group of gardeners and volunteers. They planted a bountiful garden in front of the school, and then all summer kept it watered and cared for. Last week they harvested it, made pesto and then delivered all the vegetables and pesto to the Community Fridge. Thank you so much for your kindness and thinking of us.

Wakefield Food Pantry… Good news -- It has finally warmed up enough to open the Community Fridge so it is waiting. Our motto is give what you can and take what you need. The community fridge is situated at the Anglican Church in Wakefield (the one with the red steeple) at #693 Riverside Dr. It has been a busy winter. We want to thank this community for their continuing support and generosity. We thank you!!

Tax receipts for all 2025 donations were sent by the Church of the Good Shepherd by e-mail on February 28th. Some people had them go to their spam folder. If you did not receive yours, please check your junk mail or reach out to [email protected] to have it re-sent. Thank you for your support!
