A summer camp for Ukrainian Orthodox Youth. Youth camp for ages 7-13, and Teen Camp for Grades 9 - 12.

We are located on the shores of Wakaw Lake, Saskatchewan just east of the town of Wakaw.

We are looking forward to having one of our newest counselors join our Green Grove Camp family this summer! After volunteering at camp last year and experiencing the fun, friendships, and traditions that make Green Grove Camp so special, Dmitrii is eager to share that same excitement with this year’s campers.

My name is Dmitrii Pletmintsev, and I am excited to be a counsellor for Cabin 4 this summer! While this is my first year as a counselor, I was a volunteer at Green Grove Camp last summer and had an amazing experience. I'm excited to return and help make this summer just as memorable for our campers.
I am looking forward to meeting new people, making great memories, and sharing lots of laughs around camp this summer.
To all the campers coming to Green Grove Camp this year: get ready for an amazing summer full of fun, friendship, and adventure. I can't wait to meet you all!

We are thrilled to welcome Daria back to the Green Grove Camp team this summer! With deep family roots at Green Grove Camp dating back to her grandfather’s attendance in its early years, Daria is proud to continue her family’s tradition and give back to a place that means so much to her!

Hi! My name us Daria Severson and I’m from Calgary. I have been going to camp since I was seven years old and have attended both youth and teen camp. This will be my second year back as a counselor and I could not be more excited. I am passionate about Ukrainian culture and especially Ukrainian dance. I look forward to sharing my knowledge with the campers this summer.

My favorite camp activity would most likely be evening activities like capture the flag and the Kozak games. This year whether during craft, singing, dancing, evening activities or around the campfire I’m excited for what will surely be an eventful couple of weeks. I can’t wait to see both new and familiar faces in just a few short weeks!

Look who’s back this summer! Having been a camper, volunteer, and counselor, Dima brings plenty of experience, enthusiasm, and camp spirit to Green Grove. His friendly nature and positive attitude help create a welcoming environment where every camper feels included and encouraged to have fun.

Hey name is Dima Druzhynin and I am from Saskatoon. This will be my second year as a counselor, but I also spent 2 years as a volunteer and 2 years as a camper. One of my favorite memories from camp is sitting around the campfire, but what makes it more fun is making sure the fire does not go out! I also enjoy the evening activities, so you will see me going easy during capture the flag. Outside of camp I attend the University of Saskatchewan, and work on cars as a hobby. I am excited to meet all of the new and returning campers coming to Green Grove this year. And remember, one day you will be arriving to camp, and the next you will be packing to go home. Make every laugh, experience, and friendship count! See you at camp!

Diana is no stranger to Green Grove Camp. She has spent many summers here as a camper and has also volunteered her time, making wonderful memories and building lasting friendships along the way. This year marks her very first summer as a camp counselor, and she couldn't be more excited to give back to a place that means so much to her.

My name is Diana Matiychuk! This is my first year of being a counselor at Green Grove Camp. I've been going to camp since I was 10 years old, and was even a volunteer last year. One of my favourite activities at camp are free time and arts and crafts. I love dance, and have been dancing for almost 12 whole years (since I was four years old)! I'm so excited to be leading the next generation of young campers and am delighted with the opportunity of being a councillor. To all campers: I hope you have a fun year ahead and enjoy the time you have :)

From capture the flag to campfire stories, Katya’s warmth and energy has always made Green Grove feel less like a camp and more like a second home. She’s the counselor who remembers every camper’s name and inside joke - and always has a patient listening ear in the cabin. We are happy to have you back where you belong Katya!

Hey! My name is Katya Sovyn and I will be a returning counsellor this coming camp session. I attended Green Grove Youth Camp, as well as teen growing up, and am so excited to be able to come back this year! I’ve always thought of camp as my home away from home as a kid, and even now can never wait for summer to come fast enough. I enjoy getting to know each and everyone of the campers and build strong camp memories. Capture the flag was always one of my favourite games to play when I came to camp and I can’t wait to jump right back in or catch me on the field “attempting” to play a game of soccer. Green Grove camp is not only a place where you build long lasting true friendships but a place where you feel genuine happiness throughout your time at camp. As a camper I always lived for my time at Green Grove and I know that this year will be yet another memorable two weeks!

We are excited to welcome Giulshen to Green Grove Camp this summer as one of our camp counselors! While this may be a new role for her, Giulshen has spent many summers as a camper. She knows firsthand the friendships, adventures, and unforgettable memories that make Green Grove Camp such a special place.

Hi everyone! My name is Giulshen Kalyton and I have been involved with Green Grove Camp since I was twelve, and fell in love with it ever since! I am looking forward to meeting all the campers and to make new, fun, unforgettable memories this year since it is my first year being a councillor! Can’t wait to see what’s in store for us this summer!

Summer is almost here, and we are excited to introduce you to the team that will make Green Grove Camp 2026 an unforgettable experience!

Our counselors are the heart of camp. Each member brings their own unique talents, personality, and enthusiasm to camp, and they are already counting down the days until they can welcome campers through the gates. Get ready for another great summer filled with adventure, friendship, learning, and fun.

Starting off our introductions is Ryder Boyenko... stay tuned to meet the others over the coming weeks!

Hey there! My name is Ryder Boyenko, and I will be a counselor at the 2026 Green Grove Youth Camp! This will be my first ever experience with camp, but I am beyond excited to begin my journey with Green Grove Camp and all of the amazing memories that will come with that. My favorite part of my identity as a Ukrainian is without a doubt my dancing. I have been partaking in Ukrainian dance for 14 years with groups like Zibraty, Rushnychok, PFE, and recently Yevshan! I am also a member of a great team of instructors in the group that I started my career with in my hometown of Aberdeen, Zibraty. Other hobbies of mine include motorsports like dirt biking and jetskiing, water sports, and rock climbing! This summer, along with being so excited to join the Green Grove family, I am also really looking forward to performing at Canada's National Ukrainian Festival in Dauphin, Manitoba! For all the campers that will be attending youth camp, I want to say that I am stoked to have the opportunity to start my story at Green Grove Camp and will surely be honored to call each and every one of you the group that got me hooked!
