Wainwright & District FCSS Increasing the quality of life for our community with prevention programs, info, and awareness.

Wainwright & District FCSS was created through a partnership between the Province of Alberta and participating municipalities. The FCSS Act enables the provincial government to participate with municipalities in the provision of preventative social services. The FCSS Act outlines the cost-sharing model in which the province provides 80% and the municipalities provide 20% of the funding for FCSS. W

ainwright & District FCSS is a multi-municipal program created by an agreement between the Town of Wainwright, the Municipal District of Wainwright, and the Villages of Chauvin, Edgerton and Irma. For over 50 years Wainwright & District FCSS has provided programs of a preventative nature to the community.

This year’s FASD Awareness Month theme, “Everyone Plays a Part: It Takes a Community”, highlights the power of collective support in creating a society where individuals with FASD and their families can thrive.
