Have you visited the Wind Phone at Ball's Falls Conservation Area? A Wind Phone is for anyone who has lost someone special in their life.

The original 'Telephone of the Wind' was created in Japan by a man who needed to talk with his cousin who had died of cancer. The phone offers a unique way to process grief or loss, or just to have a conversation with a loved one who's no longer physically here. Surrounded by the serenity of nature, it is a space for reflection, where words can float freely in the breeze, carrying your thoughts and feelings with them.

Take a moment for yourself today—whether it’s visiting the Wind Phone or simply stepping outside to breathe deeply. Let’s all prioritize our mental well-being and remember that it’s okay to reach out, even when the person isn’t there to pick up.

The Ball’s Falls Wind Phone is provided in partnership with Hospice Niagara

Finding the Wind Phone: From the parking lot at the Centre for Conservation, take the Switch Back Trail to the Cataract Trail along Twenty Mile Creek and head south for approx. 5 minutes towards the Upper Falls.
