August was a month of community connection, from Langford being named one of BC's friendliest cities to South Island Primary Care Society enhancing healthcare in the region and a Langford couple who finished their cross-Canada journey. We also welcomed the local community to our Westshore ReStore Community Day, another step forward in creating safe, affordable homeownership opportunities and connecting with our community.

Innovation is helping build stronger, more sustainable communities.

We continue our visit to Setu Technologies and see how they're transforming the future of concrete. Their patented Green Surface Treated Fibers (GSTF), made from recycled and virgin plastics, strengthen concrete, extend the lifespan of infrastructure, and help divert plastic waste from landfills.

It's inspiring to see local innovation creating real environmental impact while helping build more resilient communities. Thank you, Setu Technologies, for showing us the future of sustainable construction.

Ferguson Place is moving forward! We recently submitted our revised Development Permit and rezoning application for our 13-home stacked townhome community on Feltham Road, with a Saanich City Council review scheduled for September 21.

We are also celebrating the District of Saanich’s support, including changes to its Affordable Housing Reserve Fund bylaws that allow us to receive a grant supporting the project.
