No sort bottle drive - July 18th behind Archie Browning Sports Centre! Let your recycling make a difference in the community ♻️

All proceeds of July’s bottle drive will go towards sponsoring Cops for Cancer Rider Mary - a local paramedic - participating in this year’s Tour de Rock 🫶

Cops for Cancer Tour de Rock is an annual event where police agencies and emergency service personnel cycle for 14 days on Vancouver Island BC, raising money for childhood cancer research and support services at the Canadian Cancer Society.

Our Club is thrilled to support another rider is i worthy cause. Best of luck to all Tour De Rock riders on their journey!

Bottle Drive Saturday, May 23rd ♻️
All proceeds going towards support the Guide Dogs Program.

The Esquimalt Lions will also be collecting cash donations in sponsorship of our Club members (and their dog) who are participating in the Guide Dogs Dog Walk Fundraiser at Juan de Fuca Rec Centre on May 24th.

Ahoy, Esquimalt! Buccaneers Days is right around the corner and we’re gearing up for a weekend of pancakes, pirates, and community pride 🏴‍☠️🥞

Esquimalt Lions Club members will be serving up smiles and stacks on Saturday, May 9th from 7:30 to 10:00 AM at the Bullen Park Concession (on Lyall Street across from the temporary Fire Hall).

The popular Esquimalt Gigantic Garage Sale is back for another year! Join us in the Archie Browning Curling Rink for the garage sale of your dreams. Community members will be selling everything from clothes to sporting equipment and everything in between. There's sure to be a treasure for everyone.

The Esquimalt Lions Club and will be on site serving food.

All Doors open at 9am; no early birds please.

Ok Friends of the Buccaneers….time to put your money where your mouth is.

There will be a sign up sheet at the Gigantic Garage Sale next weekend, April 25th -Archie Browning Arena
We need able bodies Volunteers for the following…

Thurs. May 7th -2pm-7ish Bullen Field - setting up tables, chairs, fences and tents
Fri. May 8th - 2pm-7ish Bullen/Archie Browning - Market Place load in- helping vendors load in and field set up if still needed
Sun. May 10th - 4pm - an army of about 20 people to help tear it all down
**RAIN OR SHINE FOR ALL**. ☔️☀️🌤️

What’s in it for you? Other than the ☺️good feeling 💖you get from helping your community? …Nothing. Will you get paid? ……No
Will you be contributing to your community in a meaningful way?….Yes
Will your help be appreciated?…..Definitely YES!

Does this solve the Parade problem for this year? …Unfortunately No….there are more issues at play and we are working on them for next year.

On another note….enough of the nastiness and name calling in the comments. BE CIVIL!! We are also all VOLUNTEERS! With jobs and families as well. If you can’t be civil, you will be blocked.
