We had such a great day on Sunday, March 29 at UVic’s Alumni Chip Trail! 💛🌿

🙌 40 community members came out to take part in an ivy and holly removal activity, bringing awesome energy while connecting with each other and the environment.

💪 Together, the group cleared 8.5 cubic metres of invasive ivy, that’s about 53 bathtubs worth! So impressive 🤩

🫶 A big thank you to everyone who joined and gave it their all. Your positivity and teamwork made the day both meaningful and fun 💚

🌿 Interested in joining us next time? We’ll be back at UVic on April 19 & May 10 for more hands-on restoration days!

Are you passionate about people & the environment? The Greater Victoria Green Team is looking for a hands-on, community-minded program assistant to join us.

This is a people-centered role for someone who thrives outdoors, loves connecting with diverse groups, and wants to make a tangible environmental impact.

The Details:
🕒 32 hrs/week | $24/hr
📍 Greater Victoria (In-field & Remote)
📅 12-month term (Starting April 2026)
👤 Requirement: Age 30 & under (due to funding)
⚠️ Note: This position is conditional on funding confirmation which we expect to receive in early April. We value transparency and want you to have all the facts before you apply!

We had a fantastic activity on Saturday Feb. 7th at View Royal Park! 🌳
39 community members joined us to connect with nature and each other while removing a whopping 18 cubic metres of invasive plant material! 🌿

It was such a fun day (even in the rain!) full of friendship, learning, exploring, and caring for the environment 🌎

👉 But don't just take our word for it, listen to the voices of the people who participated! 🔈
