EPIC afternoon out there; the T65As(minus A5) and T64Bs(minus B2) were killing a very debilitated California Sea Lion southwest of Lopez Island. To be honest, I probably missed most of the best shots, but I am glad that I at least got some good stuff!🙌🏻🫍
From what we heard when they were first sighted this morning, they were already trying to kill that poor animal.

What a DAY! This morning we came across the T49As(minus A1 and A2) around Beaver Point and after a kill it was Spy Hop MADNESS! And it seems like their energy was still very high when we encountered them during the afternoon tour by Sidney Island, judging by behaviour we could see that they got at least one or 2 harbour seals per trip 🦭 🦭🤯 lots of short cycle dives and surface activity 🙌🏻❤️🫍

Another day with the T123s travelling together with the T46B1s and T46C2; coincidence or not, they were not too far from the area we saw them yesterday. Today we were able to see them porpoising and going places, and some behaviour that indicates that they found some food🫍👌🏻 #

Incredible day out on the water today; the sun was shining, water was flat, and the whales were super active. We got to see the T123s spending some time with T46B1s and T46C2, we dropped the hydrophone and could hear some vocals as well, along with lots of tail slaps! And it seems like T123A-Stanley wanted to get some fresh air; it was really impressive to see how massive he is 🫍🤯🙌🏻

Thanks captain to position the boat perfectly today!

Good catch up with the T100s(the guardians) minus T100E that has been exploring other waters without family companion. Water today was a bit choppy and the wind was blowing hard, but I particularly enjoy those conditions since they tend to come up out of the water more to take breathes🫍❤️🙌🏻

Beautiful afternoon Northwest of Downville Island, first time seeing the T46B1s and C2 this year and today they were travelling with T11A🙌🏻🫍 I believe this is the first time that I have seen T11A hanging out with another group and also far from the Strait Juan de Fuca or the Sooke Basin! Rainy is now 48 years old so every time we get to see him one more time thats a big privilege. While the youngest ones of the group had a lot of energy, the adults seemed to be taking their time circulating around and resting 😴
Nice to see T46B1D doing well and growing ❤️

Cold day out there today but thanks to Captain Evan we found the T69s at the Strait Juan de Fuca, they were for the most part of the encounter travelling in duos and we got to see all of them together for 1 set of surfaces. We feel lucky anytime we find whales in January 🙌🏻
