Initiation nights are the BEST! We get to introduce new members to what is so wacky about Odd Fellows while giving them a glimpse into what makes us a family. This night there were 8 new members to Odd Fellows - Columbia #2 Victoria BC and 4 new members to Odd Fellows Bastion Lodge #4 plus there is an overflow of 3 more joining the Initiation class at Independent Order of Odd Fellows, Victoria Lodge #1 later this month. Worthwhile work builds the enthusiasm which spreads to every meeting and event.

Sure, the Odd Fellows of Columbia and Bastion Lodges enjoy dressing up twice a month, then going into a 145 year old hall, to sing some songs and laugh together. But, then there are super amazing nights when we get to celebrate the results of hard work we do. Like this night when we welcomed guests from the organizations our Annual Disc Golf event supports to hear how the financial impact we can make is realized by each organization. The donations totaled $55,000 this year alone. Vancouver Island Crisis Society and Mary's Farm & Sanctuary, home of Blossoming at The Farm were so grateful.

Winding down 2024 at C2 means it's the Holiday Social & Awards Nite! Noble Grand and Vice Grand handed out the hardware for Rookie of the Year, Odd Fellow of the Year and the new Gerry Ratchford Service Award. Congratulations to this year's honorees!!
