Through advocacy and community building, our goal is to help families feel less isolated, and give them a safe place to talk about the deep emotions they are experiencing without fear of judgement. Wherever you are in your loss journey, and no matter the type of loss you have experienced, you are welcome here.

Join us September 27th at 10am for our first Peer to Peer Gathering at Beaver Lake for loss families.

Children are welcome and we will meet just beside the main Beaver Lake parking lot on the path in front of the nature centre (see map). The distance and pace will be decided in the moment by everyone. There is no need to complete the entire 10km route which takes approximately 2 hours. Please let us know if you have any concerns!

We recommend bringing comfy runners, strollers that can navigate a trail (if needed) and water.

No registration is required. We look forward to seeing you there!

We're starting a new program! Meet our new Peer to Peer Gatherings.

Once a month, loss families are invited to join loss parents from our board for a small gathering of shared grief and community. While the dates won't change, the times we meet might depending on the activity and location. Specific locations, times and registration forms (if needed) will be released a month prior so you can plan but please save the dates!

Things to know:

- accessibility is important to us so please reach out with any concerns.
- registration will only be required if we need to know how many supplies to purchase or a location requires a head count in advance.
- we will alternate between child-free and children welcome events. We recognize some of our loss parents will find it hard to be around parents who have living children and that children also grieve their lost siblings so we're holding space for everyone.
- all our events are free to loss families and are created with community in mind.

💜 Event starts at 11:00am
💜 2K stroll (stroller-friendly) + 5K run
💜 Family-friendly with crafts, remembrance activities, live music, coffee, food, and space to connect
