This is Vic was born under an unmistakable orange tent in a festival beer garden, when a group of local leaders enjoyed a cold drink on a sunny day and shared a rare conversation outside their respective board rooms. Maybe it was the setting, or perhaps it’s a sentiment that's been growing for years, but they shared a moment of clarity: Our community needs to work together to challenge the perception of 'newlywed or nearly dead' and amplify what Victoria has become. There's no question, we've grown beyond our traditional roots and embraced a new standard of innovation, creativity and ex*****on. Victoria has been supported for years by the the gardens, high teas and quaint British charm but all of us who live here know that our everyday Victoria has evolved well beyond this important foundation, and it's time to show the world what we've got. In the spirit of the classic I Heart NY, or the irreverent "keep Portland weird", we are collaborating in an unprecedented effort from a multi-disciplined group of Victorian citizens to crowdsource an identity that represents us all. Over the coming weeks and months, we will work together to share our stories, contribute our local experience, and collaborate in an unprecedented effort to build an identity that shines the light on who we truly are.
