A heartfelt thank you to everyone who purchased a lobster dinner this past Saturday!
Your support means the world to us, and it helps keep our fire department running strong.

🎂 We are looking for some handy individuals who would like to help out in creating cakes for a good cause!

Delivery! 🚚 No need to get in your car and pick them up, a member of Victoria Fire will be dropping this off to you!

Do you have an emergency kit in your vehicle? It's always a good idea to have some supplies on hand. . . just in case:

⚠️ blanket
⚠️ first aid kit
⚠️ food that won't spoil (energy bars, etc.)
⚠️ phone charger
⚠️ small shovel
⚠️ sand, salt or kitty litter
⚠️ candle in deep can and matches

The Victoria Volunteer Fire Department is excited to announce that we are planning to host a CPR/AED and General First Aid Training Day! 🩺❤️ 💉

We’re thrilled to have Lori Pearson, the owner of First Response Training, lead the session, with our dedicated VFD members lending their support to ensure a comprehensive learning experience for all participants.

This training will equip you with essential life-saving skills that can make a difference in emergency situations.

🚒 WEEKEND RECAP: Medical First Responder Recertification Course 🚒

This past weekend, on March 15 and 16, ten dedicated firefighters from our community participated in a comprehensive Medical First Responder recertification course, expertly taught by Lori Pearson from First Response Training.

Over the course of the weekend, our team engaged in hands-on scenarios and in-depth discussions covering critical topics such as:

🩸 Blood pressure/ oxygen monitoring
⚡️ CPR/ AED
💉 Glucose level / diabetic assessments
🐝 Epi-pen
🍱 Choking
🥶 Hypothermic
👃 NARCAN
🪢 Tourniquet
🔥 Burn victims
❤️ Heart attacks/ angina
🦴 spinal injuries/ C-spine (neck control)
🛻 Patient transport techniques

This valuable training ensures that our firefighters are well-prepared to respond effectively in medical emergencies.

We are at a loss for words after the passing of a long-time active member of 37 years Neil MacKendrick.

Neil's passion for the fire service never slowed over the many years he was with us. Our sincere condolences go out to his family.
