Are you a Youth looking to learn more about the Treaty process? Or maybe you are a parent/guardian hoping to point a young person in the right direction?

Follow along as we answer common questions centered around youth across the five Te'mexw Member Nations — Beecher Bay (SC’IȺNEW̱), Songhees, Malahat, Snaw-naw-as (Nanoose) and T’Sou-ke.

Question: Who is reaching out to the younger generation that live off-reserve to get them involved?

Answer: The Community Engagement Team will be coordinating that outreach. We need to reach as many members as possible, Youth included. The TTA team supplies a lot of materials through meetings, mail, e-mail and social media, but those won't reach folks unless we know how to reach them. We encourage members to help their relatives connect with us by sharing sign-up links. This will be a community effort. If there are other ways to reach out that would work better for Youth, we would love to know so that we can look into it. Youth are our future leaders, and we want to do anything we can to reach them.
