Our leadership is asking for feedback on the work being done by Nation staff.

All SαΈ΅wxΜ±wΓΊ7mesh People and Community Members are invited to complete the Values Engagement Survey 2025.

The short survey is an opportunity to share your thoughts on whether administrative staff are delivering programs and services that are in keeping with Squamish Values.

The survey’s goal is to answer an important question:

Are administrative staff doing the work in accordance with the Sḡwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw organizational values?, because how we do the work is as important as the work itself.

βœ”οΈ Open to Nation & Community Members
βœ”οΈ Voluntary & anonymous
βœ”οΈ Informs leadership & accountability

Your answers will shape the 2025 Values Engagement Report, which is presented to Council and shared with Community.

➀ Online: Complete the survey before August 31, 2025 online at http://bit.ly/3Iv34mJ
➀ In-person: You can complete the survey in-person today at Amalgamation, our Pride Celebration on July 25, and our Distribution days in North Vancouver and Squamish Valley.

Chet kw’enmantΓΊmi (we thank you) for your participation.

Enjoy the Memorial Youth Pow Wow

The Sḡwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish Nation) encourages everyone to enjoy the annual memorial Squamish Nation Youth Pow Wow this weekend, July 11-13. The Youth Pow Wow is an amazing community sponsored event. The Nation is proud to support all family-friendly community events. This year our IT Department, Safety Department, Community Operations and others have worked in collaboration with the organizers.

Some of the work this year includes:

➀ Safety enhancements: Our Community Safety Team is providing extra patrolling throughout the weekend and coordinating with the West Vancouver Police for enhanced security, including a mobile video monitoring unit that could be a safety tool we use in the future.

➀ Community Operations: Additional grounds upkeep and preparation of the Pow Wow areas.

➀ IT: Providing additional internet connectivity to the area so all the vendors could be functional.

➀ Elders Centre: The Elders Centre has been opened during the event as a cooling centre for Elders seeking shelter from the hot weather. For cooling purposes, the Elders Centre will be open:
Friday 8:30 am - 4:30pm
Saturday 12-6 pm
Sunday 12-4 pm
