5th Garry Oak Scouts

10/02/2026

Come say hello to our 5th Garry Oak Scouts on Oak Bay ave. tomorrow ( sat, Oct 3rd) and grab an apple. We will be at Oak Bay Pharmasave and Oak Bay Home Hardware.

🍎 APPLE DAY IS COMING TO GREATER VICTORIA! 🍎

On October 3 & 4, keep your eyes open throughout the Greater Victoria community — you’ll see Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Venturers and Rovers out and about with bags of delicious apples and big smiles! 🍏💚

Our youth will be collecting donations in exchange for apples, helping their local Scouting groups and Camp Barnard raise funds for the adventures, camps, equipment, programs and experiences that make Scouting so special.

🏕️ Your donation helps youth:
✨ Get outdoors and explore
🔥 Experience camping and adventure
🌲 Build confidence and practical skills
🤝 Make friendships and lasting memories
🌟 Take on new challenges and discover what they’re capable of

So if you spot a group of enthusiastic young people with a table full of apples, stop by, say hello, grab an apple and help support their next adventure! 🍎

Every donation makes a difference — whether it helps a youth attend camp, supports their local group, or contributes to the continued care and operation of Camp Barnard, your support helps keep these opportunities accessible to young people in our community.

📍 Keep a lookout for us throughout Greater Victoria on October 3 & 4!

Buy an apple. Support a youth. Fund an adventure. 🍎🏕️🌲

5th Garry Oak Scouts section has space.

Does your youth aged 11-14 (grade 6-9) love the outdoors? Does your kid want to camp and hike, fish and kayak?

Our scouts group is co-ed, we welcome all genders and abilities. Our youth learn leadership, first aid, fire starting, and axe/knife skills. We volunteer in the community and are always excited to add a new skill to our repertoire.

Contact [email protected] and participate in an activity or two to see if the program suits. We would also appreciate you sharing this link so this reaches a broader range of people. Thank you.
