According to the 2025 BC Child Poverty report card, nearly 1 in 6 children lived below the poverty line. Children in lone-parent families bore the sharpest risk of poverty. We come alongside these children, youth, and their families and help to build them up by providing free, accessible programs and services.

“I applied to volunteer at the Coffee House because I wanted to gain experience as a barista. I was able to learn how to work in the kitchen and make drinks for customers, while also getting to know the amazing people that run the Coffee House and Extreme Outreach. It is a great experience to be able to learn work skills and see how much the people at Extreme Outreach do for the community.” Simé

Join our Extreme Coffee House team! Extreme Coffee House is a welcoming space in View Royal. If you’re looking to create positive change in the community and can commit to volunteering 4 or more hours weekly, we welcome you to join us!

Shifts are available Monday - Friday between 8-4. Located at 102-284 Helmcken Rd

Tasks Include: welcoming customers, serving specialty coffee drinks, preparing sandwiches, cleaning/tidying, in-house outreach prep; Training included.

“This experience of working at the Extreme Coffee House in the summer has been more than a job for me, it was a place where we can help people, where you can make close relationships with the other staff and where there's a sense of purpose. “I loved my experience at Extreme Coffee House. It was an incredibly rewarding summer during which I was able to improve my interpersonal skills and develop my barista techniques. This Coffee House is a warm and welcoming place where everyone feels at home. Plus, the food and drinks are excellent. This experience made me realize that you don’t have to be perfect to do a good job. I will always be grateful to this organization, which gives young people a chance in this world. Our Extreme Coffee House is a community outreach where items are purchased by donation. Proceeds after expenses go towards the programs & outreaches we provide throughout the year for disadvantaged children, youth, and their families.
