Testimony Tuesday ❤️ “I met Cliff when I was about 5 years old when he would come to the neighbourhood with his hot dog stand. My siblings and I grew up with many struggles, one being food. Wednesdays were the day of the week we would most look forward to because we knew we’d get our bellies full and lots of love. We’d bring our containers and Cliff would let us take AS MANY as we wanted. I remember when he’d let us even make the hot dogs and serve them, joining in on all the fun. Cliff never ceased to bring a big smile to my face and always made me feel seen, loved, and cared for.
The Christmas Dinner was an event I looked forward to every single year. I got to pick out my own stocking, my own Christmas gift, and one year I even got to bring home my very own bike! Christmas was the time of year my family struggled the most. The SuperKids Christmas event was a day I could relax my little brain and just be excited to see all of my favourite people, enjoy the gifts, have the time of my life, and last but not least, the delicious food. Every single year my family and I would go. The dinners impacted me more than I think Cliff and Andrea will ever know. With that all I can do is show my tremendous gratitude towards them and the love they brought me.
SuperKids Camp was the one thing every summer that had me burning with excitement, knowing I was going to do the things I never got to do at home. I don’t have a great memory of my childhood, but SuperKids Camp will ALWAYS remain fresh in my mind as if it was yesterday. I grew a close connection to a camp leader named Tabitha, who I decided in my heart as a child was my older sister who guided me. SuperKids Saturdays was also extremely fun for me, enjoying lunch, getting prizes for playing games, and seeing all of the leaders who I grew very close bonds with. The most important thing about my testimony is the seed that was planted. As I got older I strayed away from God, but I never forgot the love and care I received from Cliff and Andrea which had me always thinking “maybe God sent them to me” and I truly believe He did. I gave my life back to Christ, and will never forget the people who were always rooting for me and praying for me. I will never forget the love I felt knowing that there’s people who truly do care.
Everything Extreme Outreach has done for me will always remain in my heart and I will have stories to share for a lifetime. I hope to pass these stories on to my future children so they know how to spread the love, mercy, grace, and kindness they have shown me. The love of God completely fills their hearts and I’m so amazed with the beautiful work they do.” Vanessa, SuperKid
