At one point, I was living in a big shared house during COVID: from toddlers to seniors, 2 to 82, all under one roof. It was loud, messy, beautiful, and life-changing.
What started as a practical way to ride out the chaos became something extraordinary:
Strangers became family.
Meals turned into connection.
Challenges turned into lessons in communication and compassion.
We didn’t just survive that time; we thrived. Because we had each other.
That house became a living classroom for many ideas I now teach about shared ownership, community, and belonging.
Proof that the antidote to loneliness isn’t luck: it’s design.
That house reminded me what we’ve lost and what we can rebuild.
We don’t need to go back in time to find the village. We can live in luxury in a mansion for less than we live on our own in a condo
We just need the courage to live like one again.
✨ This is one of the stories that inspired Back to the Village: my blueprint for creating real wealth through connection, collaboration, and community.
